Roberta Hoffman and Reiko Morita performing at Isadora’s Legacy in 2000. The Graces
is a group dance that can be performed by two or three dancers. In Greek mythology, the
Three Graces were daughters of Zeus, representing Beauty, Delight, and Blossom. This
piece was inspired in part by Isadora’s appreciation of Botticelli’s painting “Primavera.”
Versions of this dance were reconstructed by Riva Hoffman and Hortense Kooluris.
